Henrietta Lacks grew up during the era of Jim Crow. In that year, black people did not allow to get into hospital even though they almost die. Henrietta Lacks was a poor, lower education black woman while she had cancer. She signed a form of operation permit without knowing what that means. After several years she died, her family mentioned how important her cell to medicine. However, her family still could not afford their insurance. In my opinion, her children should deserve health insurance because they have a great mother. First of all, no matter how successful to Henrietta Lacks’ cell, they are all came from Henrietta Lacks. Without her cell, researcher could not get any information from Henrietta Lacks cell. Researcher got all honor and money of Henrietta Lacks’ cell. However, they did not emotion who is Henrietta Lacks or where was the cell come from. On the other hand, Henrietta Lacks could not totally understand that from her signed before surgery. Researcher should have an agreement with her family. Nowadays, her family should be having proprietary right to take back Hela cell. At last, no matter their government or their hospital which want to study her cell, should treat her family, her cell is important to whole world, at least her family can afford their medicine.
